Forensics Project
Our Presentation
Reflection
Through creating out case and presentation, I learned about forensic testing and some legal information. I learned the science behind lifting fingerprints, pen chromatography, blood typing, DNA sequencing, RFLP, PCR, and karyotyping. I also learned how to analyze family histories, pedigrees, and diseases to understand social connections. Lastly, I learned about arrest warrants and 1st degree murder warrants. I would like to know more about the types of DNA sequencing and how exactly you can get an arrest warrant and what they give you the ability to do. I think next year groups should work more separately because it seems like a lot of ideas were exchanged from group to group. Also, I would go over the science more before starting the project. I feel that I stayed very on task and I was actually the group leader. I told everybody what needed to get done. During the presentation I thought I did really well. I did all the speaking and I was able to understand and present each slide well. I feel I could have stuttered less and used more emotions in my speaking. My group was rather on task. Sometimes they got a little distracted, but we were able to come together and finish our presentation with time left over. During the presentation, my group provided some back up help and helped with the technology and evidence. Next time I would have everyone talk for at least one part of the presentation.
